Rutgers data science reddit I have done a lot of research into the career so far (and still more to go): what is it exactly, what kind and level of education is required to pursue it (especially for my case), what are the job prospects for it, etc. Alternatively there you can do a CS major and a data science minor or a certificate. Data science major/minor is a new interdisciplinary program so imo you will just be a lab rat for Rutgers to figure out how to run/set up the major for the future. If CS is not for you, data science with domain track may be relevant. More information on the tracks should be available sometime in Fall 2023. . There is a lot of synergy there. Intro to DS also has some math and stats. It is very project intensive. If you can, do a double major in CS and data science CS track. I would say intro to data science is way more interesting and beneficial than AI.
